Transforming Laser Mouse is more than meets the eye

Being a fan of original Transformers from the mid eighties I was delighted to see new fans and new life that was given to the genre thanks to Michael Bay and his blockbuster Transformers movie from 2007. Now two years later, Michael Bay is going to be hitting Transformers fans new and old with a movie sequel to the 2007 hit called Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Of course where there is a blockbuster film, merchandising goes hand in hand and when it comes to the Transformers franchise, there are always plenty of goodies to be purchased.

Today’s example of Transformers gear is just one of many you may be seeing on store shelves in the upcoming months before and after the new movie is released. This is a fully functioning 800 dpi laser mouse, compatible with either PC or Mac that transforms into the evil Decepticon named Trypticon. This may of course confuse fans of the original animated series as they fondly remember Trypticon as an awesome huge Decepticon base that transformed into a Tyrannosaurus Rex. I guess one could speculate that somewhere down the line, Trypticon was shrunk and busted down to serve desk duty as a lonely computer peripheral. No matter the reason for Trypticon’s new job, however, just like every other Transformers toy, this one will probably become popular when it hits the market.

Expected to land on store shelves sometime in September, Laser Mouse Trypticon is available for preorder for $59.99. Be sure to check out the other transforming PC gear on preorder like Laser Mouse Grimlock, Flash Drive Ravage and Tigatron, and USB Hub Blaster.
